American fashion
designer and doll artist Rustie was born in Chicago,
IL. She started to design gowns for
her own dolls at a very young age. Rustie is an award-winning, multi-talented fashion designer
and doll artist, whose illustrious career has spanned more
than 25 years as a designer of elaborate, richly detailed
collector's dolls. Rustie's magnificent designs have brought
her many awards and many affluent collectors for her
original creations from around the world.
At the International Toy Fair in New York City, Rustie was
presented with two 1996 nominations for the prestigious DOTY
Award (Doll of the Year) for her magnificent costuming. The
two dolls nominated, Tara and Skye, were featured in the
June,1996 issue of Doll Reader magazine. Rustie then won the
1996 DOTY Award for her magnificent Skye.
Rustie have recently been awarded both the 1998 DOTY and
TORI Awards for dolls. The incredible desire for the doll
collector to experience the difference in a total new
exquisite style that Rustie has been creating for years. Her
magnificent dolls are sought after by the most
discriminating doll collectors.
Rustie often travels to the New York fashion district to hand pick
the finest and most elaborate fabrics from around the world.
This strict attention to detail is evident in each of her
magnificent creations and is the hallmark of her work.
When she is not traveling, Rustie lives and works in
Pennsylvania.

she is certainly someone with a very soft and beautiful
